Jacob Bethem is a PhD graduand at the School of Sustainability at Arizona State University. He studies the transition to renewable energy and its impacts on quality of life from an ethical perspective. Jacob’s nine years of collegiate teaching include sustainability, business, and philosophy classes. His most recent instructed courses have been Equity, Justice, & Sustainability and Designing a Living Buildings at ASU and Sustainable Cities at Paradise Valley Community College. He is a researcher with The Sustainability Consortium, studying waste management performance improvement. He holds an MBA degree in sustainability from Duquesne University, MS degree in management from Saint Vincent College, MA degree in philosophy from the University of Tennessee, and LEED Green Associate credentials. Jacob has recently accepted employment as a Visiting Assistant Professor of Sustainable Business at the University of Redlands for the upcoming school year.
