Jonathan Davis is a PhD Candidate in the School of Geographical Sciences and Urban Planning at Arizona State University and for the past five years has served as the GIS Analyst for the Inter-Tribal Council of Arizona, Inc. He is recognized for his work in public health, food access, Geodesign, digital storytelling, and political GIS. His work in digital storytelling and spatial analysis research has been featured in the Washington Post, Business Insider, Vox.com, and been awarded the chart of the week by Pew Research Center. He is also the 2018 recipient of the Lattie & Elva Coor Building Greater Communities Fellowship. As part of his work with Arizona State University, Jonathan has worked with several communities within the Navajo Nation and the Tohono O’odahm Nation to create community-Based Land Use Plans through the Geodesign planning framework. One of these communities, Dilkon Chapter, received the 2018 special recognition award from the Arizona chapter of the American Planning Association for Public Outreach.
